Perth Airport
Perth International Airport Long Term Car Park

The demand for this new facility is drawn from the significant growth in both domestic and international passenger numbers at Perth Airport in recent years.

The vision for the expansion of the existing international terminal was first announced by Perth Airport Pty Ltd (PAPL) (the owners and operators of Perth Airport) in May 2008. The announcement outlined Perth Airport Pty Ltd’s medium term vision for the major redevelopment of Perth Airport, including the consolidation of intrastate, domestic and international services in new facilities around the existing international precinct.

The CREE Edge High Output flood lights were used in place of the traditional metal halide flood lights which offered both an energy and maintenance cost savings for the client. The precise optical characteristics of the Edge High Output and true white technology enabled the car park to be lit to Perth Airport’s lighting standards at 30m above ground level. The precision optical configuration meant the luminaires could be orientated directly downwards which creates 0% of upright spill which is a major requirement for lighting in airspace zones.

The Cree LEDway used along Airport drive continues the theme from the Gateway Link being the first major LED street lighting trial for Main Roads Western Australia.

The high light levels and colour rendition produced by the Cree luminaires create a sense of security for patrons of the airport who can be confident in leaving their vehicles in the long term car parks with peace of mind.
