Gerry de Wind
Gerry’s passion for lighting started at a young age, and has spanned over 35 years. Commencing his career in lighting with Atkins Carlyle which put him in good stead develop and grow Mondoluce into a leading specification based project lighting company. He is also an avid Fremantle Dockers supporter, proudly displaying their colours at his desk. Many of Gerry’s contemporaries and industry leaders would comment on how he has developed Mondoluce into a highly diversified lighting company covering all facets of lighting application; architectural, commercial, industrial and mining within Western Australia.
Joe continually impresses and surprises the office with his amazing memory and mystery boxes full of treats. He started his career in the Lighting industry in 1993 as a store person with Atkins Carlyle. An electrician by trade, Joe’s technical expertise extends well beyond the electrical field. He is always the first point of contact with anyone at Mondoluce when it comes to technical information, as his wealth of knowledge continues to be an invaluable resource.
Karen came to Mondoluce with a background in bookkeeping, two decades ago. Through dedication and hard work, she has trained and skilled herself to become Mondoluce’s Administration and Finance Manager, overseeing all of Mondoluce’s administration, finance and legal needs. Karen is also known for her gardening expertise, and her adventures outdoors such as walking parts of the Bibbulmun Track, taking part in the Oxfam Australian Trailwalker 50km or riding along the Swan.
You can always tell when Darren is in the office, because laughter is consistently heard due to his witty one-liners. As an integral part of the Mondoluce team over the past two decades, Darren has helped with Mondoluce’s growth and success, and still continues to do so with his extensive knowledge on Mondoluce’s product range and local construction industry requirements. Darren heads up the Projects department, mentoring and guiding the sales team to ensure they offer our clients the best possible service and value for money in whatever the project or budget.
Priscilla de Wind
Priscilla is a diehard West Cost fan. When visiting Priscilla at her desk, the first thing you will see, besides her warming smile, is the poster of the latest line up for West Coast. Priscilla has been part of the Mondoluce team for over a decade, and is a key member of the Administration team. The Mondoluce family unanimously agree that they are spoilt with her amazing culinary skills.
Ken loves tools and any excuse to go to a hardware store. He started at Mondoluce over a decade ago, bringing with him experience gained at one of the largest national companies in Australia. As Mondoluce’s Warehouse Supervisor, he is always looking for new ways to improve the effectiveness of the warehouse and has untaken many short courses to help develop himself for the role he is in now. You can often hear the Cricket coming from the warehouse radio during summer.
Andrea de Wind
Andrea joined Mondoluce in 2009 with a Bachelor of Commerce from Curtin University. Andrea’s passion for lighting has helped her pursue and successfully complete the IES course in Lighting Design and Application in 2016. Andrea has a role as an architectural project lighting specialist as well as being the Mondoluce’s brand manager for iGuzzini. Andrea has developed a great deal of product knowledge and application, making her a great resource for Mondoluce’s clients. Andrea has a passion for sport and fitness.
Damian de Wind
Damian joined Mondoluce in 2011, commencing on his career path in Mondoluce’s warehouse before progressing to a Client Liaison role, supporting Darren Marshall our Projects Manager. Besides hands on training, Damian has participated in education courses with the IES as well as professional development courses with Leadership Management Australia. While lighting is a great passion for Damian, his other passions lie in both fitness and The West Coast Eagles. Damian one day hopes to own a Jet Ski.
Helen’s friendly voice will usually be the one you are greeted with when calling Mondoluce. She came to Mondoluce in 2011, bringing with her a quirky humour, her indifference to the AFL and a love of old english Sheepdogs. Being an Administration Assistant is second nature to Helen, who has worked in many administration roles as well as a variety of other exciting vocations.
The best words to describe Tanya are fashion, passion and dedication. Tanya’s effervescent personality consistently brightens up the office, and makes clients and guests feel like Mondoluce family. She has a Diploma in Interior Design and over 10 years of experience in the lighting and design industry. Since joining the team in 2013 as a Client Liaison, Tanya has also delved into residential lighting but is now responsible for the Mondoluce Client Liaison Team.
Commencing in 2014, Ivan offers the Mondoluce team his energetic and enthusiastic attitude to service and supports the local government and selected public sector authorities, with his sound understanding of product application to derive the right lighting solutions. Ivan’s education and development also involved successfully completing a Leadership Management Australia (LMA) course to enhance his interaction and relationship skills.
Renae’s background in Graphic Design and small business ownership makes her the perfect individual for her role as Mondoluce’s AMP (Advertising, Marketing and Promotional) coordinator. She is responsible for Mondoluce’s media and communication needs, including the design and production of Mondoluce’s full spectrum of print and electronic AMP material covering both a public and industry-specific perspective. Renae provides the office with her support in design and production of a variety of presentations.
What isn’t there to say about Chris? He is a mad Star Wars fan, computer enthusiast and will gladly talk Cricket to anyone. Starting at Mondoluce in 2015, Chris started in the Client Liaison roles and has since moved to a sales role with Bardic, while still supporting the sales team at Mondoluce head office. Chris has had half a decade of sales experience with one of Australia’s leading retail megastores.
Byron Flynn joined the Mondoluce team in 2016. He is in the role the client liaison office, supporting Damian de Wind, and also in charge of inventory management. With a background in client liaison within the building industry, this makes him a fountain of knowledge in regards to project management and supply and demand. He enjoys clean eating, exercise and supporting his preferred AFL team, the Eagles.
Jon came to Mondoluce with just under a decade’s worth of electrical trade experience. He has been valuable resource to the team in the capacity of Warehouse Assistant and developing his skills and experience as a technical adviser. During his leisure time, Jon enjoys hikes, camping and fishing, along with taking out his beloved 4-wheel drive.
Haydn started with Mondoluce in 2016, bringing with him years of knowledge and experience with technical drawing, and the software used. At Mondoluce, Haydn is in the role of Client Liaison, supporting Darren Marshall, and also helps the Mondoluce Staff with any Technical Drawing requirements. When not impressing the team with his computer skills, he is pursuing his other interest as a keen car enthusiast.
Kevin has a wealth of general management experience and knowledge from working in engineering and technology businesses in Australia, UK, New Zealand and Fiji. He has a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. At the weekends he is likely to be airborne flying a glider or small aeroplane.
